This Privacy Policy explains how Towel Company Ireland (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit towels.irish or buy from us. We handle your data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018.

Information we collect

We only collect the data we need to run our store and serve you well. This may include:

• Information you give us: your name, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number when you place an order, fill in a form or contact support.
• Payment information: handled by our payment processors, Stripe and PayPal. We do not see or store full card numbers.
• Information collected automatically: such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring site, gathered through cookies and similar technologies where you allow them.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• To take, deliver and support your order, and to send order and delivery emails: this is needed to perform our contract with you.
• To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations: a legal obligation.
• To keep the store secure and prevent fraud, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it: our legitimate interests.
• To send marketing emails, and to set analytics and advertising cookies: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics, and may use Google advertising tags, through Google Consent Mode. For visitors in Ireland and the rest of the EU the default is that no analytics or advertising cookies are written until you accept them in our cookie banner. Our Cookie Policy explains this in more detail, and you can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Who we share it with

We share data only as needed to run the store: with our payment processors, the couriers who deliver your order, our email and website hosting providers, and the analytics provider named above. They may only use it to provide their service to us. Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area; where data is transferred, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your personal data. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including the period we must keep order and accounting records by law. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Have inaccurate data corrected.
• Have your data deleted where there is no reason for us to keep it.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on it.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, contact us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection regulator, at dataprotection.ie, or to the regulator in the EU country where you live or work.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections during checkout. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.

Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
